Automatic transmission quick shift

My first post! I have a 03 2500 with a 5.7 and automatic transmission. All gears shift smoothly but after shifting into 4th gear it has about a one second delay and goes straight into overdrive. Is there something I can do to get it to wind up a little longer befor going into overdrive?

I have always wanted 4th gear to use the TC to lock and unlock depending on the load, but unfortunately it just locks up ASAP and stays there. Not sure if thats unhealthy for the truck or if its just some emissions thing, but i feel like that could have been a much smoother feel for driving. But if you want more power it just downshifts instead, and I’m not sure theres anything you can do about it.

Not with an 03....04 and later you can use Superchips trans tuning. 05 & later Diablo can CMR tune the trans.
