Back up screen

2022, 2500 tradesman. Can you install a larger backup screen in this truck, without having to replace the whole dash?

There should be a 5" screen, which is likely in a Tradesman
Then there is an 8.4" screen

I forgot, they also have that itty bitty screen on the rear view mirror

Dash, windshield, and carpet have to come out I believe. Lol just messing around, no I'm pretty sure the entire dash doesn't need to be replaced to swap out to a bigger head unit. Just the unit itself and the trim pieces around it, and possibly some other miscellaneous pieces. I've never done it but it's certainly been done and posted on the forums, and as GT mentioned it would help to know what screen size you're currently working with and what you're looking to upgrade to.

The standard 5" tradesman screen. If I had ordered the truck, I would have got the larger screen, but I bought it off the lot. Don't want all the auto ac/heat controls, just a larger screen with the standard radio. I'am guessing theres no such thing, just thought I'd throw it out there.

Do some checking around
I don't know much about the 2018 & newer radios

There may 2 or 3 versions of the 8.4" radio
One with Navigation
One w/o Navigation, but has Apple Car Play & Android Auto
One that is very basic

Any of them should be a simple installation
