Have a 2014 ram and was looking at replacing the parking backing plates in the near future as they are starting to get soft.I cannot find the plates for the 2014 year,I can get upto 2012 no problem then its all 2015.I have seen on mopar site you can buy the loaded plates that cover the 2014 and 2015 with the same part # so shouldnt't the plates alone from the 15 still fit?Anybody go through this and have the answer?

here is what I found,the 2014 loaded backing plate 4779823AC are the same part # for the 2015 ram so you would think the backing plate itself sould be the same.
Part# 924-235 by dorman is listed to fit the 2015 but not the 2014 so it dont make sense,technally they should fit.This is what I was wondering if anybody ran into this issue and can verify.

Double check this ...

2009 & 2010 Dodge Ram 1500s used a 9.25 AAM rear differential

2011 to at least 2018 Dodge Ram 1500 used the ZF 234.5mm rear differential

9.25" = 234.95mm

============================

Therefore any 2011 - 2018 ZF rear differential for a 1500
should work for backing plates

The differance might be due to the wheel speed sensor location. I used my 14's backing plates on a 2011 diff,and had to mod the location for the wheel speed sensor,wasn't hard took a couple minutes with a die grinder.The early ZF diffs had the speed sensor mounted on the front of the axle tube,the later diffs had it mounted on the rear of the axle tube
But i'd think the 15 backing plates would fit your 14 though
