I know I could've mounted the camera in the tailgate handle, but I wanted to actually see where I was going and get a little of the ball hitch in view.
So, I made a nifty little bracket for my backup cam system to mount just above the license plate. BUT! I have to pull it off and grind the top part down because it just so happens to be tall enough to scrape some paint off the bottom of my tailgate when I lowered it. F!

I like how mine is pretty incognito and doesn't stick out like the one you're showin. I would assume y'all have the LockPick, but if by chance you don't, how do you have the camera hooked up?

I plan on taking the power supply to the camera from the reverse lights so it's only on during backing. I got the C3 media harness in the back of my RBZ MyGig and I'm hooking up to the camera RCA. Now my main question is that there is a red ACC power wire on the back of the RCA from the camera. Do I really have to hook that up? do I need to show a pic of it?

I lowered it after I cut out some plastic out of the bumper to make some room so it will clear the tailgate. It didn't scrath the paint too bad. Just gotta finish the wiring.

Isn't the camera supposed to be tilted down at an angle. your not getting a proper angle. I love the bracket idea, What did you use to make it?

I used just a piece of thin sheet metal. Can't remember the size, but it's thick enough to not be flimsy. Once I get it displaying in the monitor, I'll be able to adjust the angle. I bought two of those cams off Ebay and once I get my LockPick, I'll install a front cam.

Nice I plan to get a switch box and do the same for a front camera.
