Battery type ID ?

So if a battery is a newer style AGM, will that be labeled somehow on the battery? Or is there a physical/visible characteristic way to tell an AGM from non-AGM battery?

Typical spec for the gassers is a 730CCA standard flooded lead acid battery, only the EcoDiesel was spec'd out with an AGM. It's not to say that runs of gas trucks were built with an AGM type battery.
If your looking to replace your battery, you can use an AGM if you want and it's usually preferred replacement type. If you want one of the largest capacity batteries available, you can upsize the H7 that's in your truck now to an Odyssey 49-950 H8 AGM battery (950 CCA). Odyssey battery are built right here in Missouri

You make me want to just go and buy an H8 Odyssey...just because... dang you @crash68 lol
My almost new H8 Interstate AGM just doesn't cut the mustard now....

But seriously, going to an H8 AGM battery regardless is a huge improvement over the stock liquid filled and lower CCA battery. Especially if you've got any upgraded audio in your vehicle, and/or extra load/draw requirements.
