OK so I've been all over all the boards but they cannot help me so this is why I am posting this hoping for some help. My BCM on my 13 is dead, no good, shot. I've sent it in for rebuild but it is unrepairable. Now as we all know 2013 BCM's are none existent and if you find one you have a gold nugget. So to answer your questions what have I done;
I have sent in the old unit which is unrepairable.
I have purchased a used 2013 which wont allow it to be programmed to my truck.
I did purchase a brand new 2015 BCM thinking that would work by just using a ram factory programmer. It does not.

Note: I notice everyone speaks about AlphaOBD and how it cures all ailments in the world, sorry not all the best with that program.

I am desperately seeking advice because I have a 6.7 diesel paperweight in my driveway for the past 7 months, any and all help is appreciated.

When I look up the part number for your 2013 Im assuming a 2500, 6.7 Cummins, Mopar Of McKinney https://parts.chryslerjeepdodgecityofmckinney.com/p/78254389/68200252AG.html shows the same part# also fitting pretty much all the other 2013 Cummins and 5.7 Hemi trucks as well. Disclaimer: "They" are frequently wrong and it could cost you wasted money, but in an absence of other options, that may be the risk your stuck with.

When I look up the part for a 2013 Ram 2500 6.7, then click "what if fits", It looks like this:

So, maybe it would be worth trying a BCM from a 5.7 Hemi truck. If it doesn't work, sell it on Ebay and get some of your money back.

When I search ebay for 2013 Ram BCM's, I find plenty when not trying to look specifically for one from a 6.7 Cummins.

I just replaced the BCM on our 2005 Mustang. Same thing. Had to buy used off eBay but I have Forscan, which I guess is like AlfaOBD where I could re-program my BCM. Fortunately I bought the exact same part number so didn't have to re-program it but I'm guessing you should be able to re-program it with AlfaOBD. You will probably also have to have your key fobs re-programmed. I had to re-program mine

Question why won’t the 2013 bcm reprogram ?
My guess it’s vin locked and skim details are from old trick .
Do you have alpha obd ?
The issue is trying to get the old data out and the new data in .
The other thing is you don’t have a backup of your existing bcm as it’s failed .
Can see of anyone on this forum with same truck can get you a backup with alpha .
I might have a used 13 bcm kicking around that I might be able to unlock all the skim and vin but that will be the last approach .
If you can get a backup file I can possibly try and help you via team viewer with alpha obd.
Alpha is great for a new bcm but used bcm is tricky .

For my Mustang there is a site where you can put your VIN in and it will show all of the BCM files and you can download them. Let me try to find it.

I know this doesn't help you with your RAM but maybe they have a similar site?

This is probably your best course to get it done. Get a copy of someone else's BCM configuration and load onto a known good BCM from another '13 truck.

May take a while to get the copy, but confident another forum member with the same truck as yours can help on that one.

Talk to Flagship 1. They are somewhere in New York state. The re-do computers. I bought one from them for my 2012 and it has worked fine.
I'm sure there are others 'out there' but their price and service was ok. The only thing that I didn't like was the high cost of shipping to Canada but I think (well they did) offer free shipping within the USA.

Well I finally found the BCM that I need for my truck it’s just now trying to get it reprogrammed from the donor vehicle . Im going take @Hagar1 up on his suggestion and contact flagship1 and see what they can do. I know a pass through computer is what I need as well. If anyone knows of anyone that lives in the southeast that can help with this please let me know cause at this point I’m willing to drive in southeast.

@Mgrimm1 do you have any advice on this?

I have a BCM from a Ram Classic I could part with but I don’t see anyway around not using AlphaOBD.

Not to hijack your post or anything, but I have the exact same issue. Sent BCM to be refurbished and was told it was completely fried. Supposedly they have another one they are going to send me, but I think they are full of it. Been a couple weeks and no contact from them. My dealership says they can program it if I can find a BCM, been looking everywhere but no luck. They are gone before you can even message a seller that you want it. My paperweight has been sitting at the dealership over a month now.

Have you tried ebay? I see quite a few on there.

OK, dumb question maybe, but would it be possible to swap in the entire wiring harness and therefore the bcm from a later, or earlier model truck?
Match up the trans and motor, possibly swap sensors, rewire any other systems.

Can anyone tell me why my 2009 laramie does not have a bcm module ? I recently installed powerfolding mirrors and also want to do the 5th gen HD LED tail light upgrade. But unsure if it's possible on the early 4th gen rs that have no bcm.
It's been frustrating with my truck bc alpha won't activate my power folding mirrors or enable my led tail light bulbs to stop the error message.

I can't answer as to why Dodge chose not to use a BCM on the 2009-2012 trucks. I guess, they just chose not to.

Instead, the TIPM housed the computer that handled all of those functions.

In a 2009-2012, you'll need to connect to the TIPM with AlfaOBD to access the functions that we normally associate with the BCM.
