ugh...power out..generator working over time.
Direct wired in, Auto transfer, or do you gotta run out and plug in and/or start up?

I know, I am way overkill with a 22K, but More is better in my humble thinking. Just not want to think about the sucking sound outta LP tank.

I think this is the one I used

Its called a shore plug, i guess its intended purpose is to feed 110 volts into a boat while docked, but it worked perfect for the block heater
LOL, was thinking of a NOCO perm install for battery in RAM... which is why I asked, hee hee.

love it (not neccessarily the fact that your batteries need tending)
but finding something that is intended for one purpose, but making it wholly suitable for another, work smarter not harder
Battery OK, but truck indeed not driven enuf to get SOC % where it needs to be. Of course right now, RAM in the garage, outta weather. Not going ne where since there is 3-5" of totally frozen solid sleet on all roadways. This county does not even have a plow, and state worries about state roads and interstate.

What a bust! Maybe 8 inches. Sleet came early and stayed, if it had remained snow probably 2-3 inches more of snow. Certainly not the 17 inches still being forecasted at 9 last night. Schools now close Monday and Tuesday.

Same over/up here. 6-8 inches at most then the snow got crunchy. I was using the snowblower and stopped it to clean off the vehicles, heard what sound like water running. I thought, "Great, what now?"

It was sleet landing on the snow. Still coming down.

I got the Noco Genius 2D for the same reason. I didn't want to do anything too awful permanent so I wire-tied the unit to a wire bundle between the battery and firewall, ran output to battery, AC line to the edge of the hood near the drivers side wiper. Been working fine since August/September, but I have no testing to prove it other than occasionally checking the battery voltage, typically 12.7.

well when I get tax return, gonna get a few goodies. The NOCO< the wire plug, also the hitch light that wires into 7 pin with Curt Adapter. Want it more for backup lighting than anything else. Rest of $$$, lol, put away, gonna need replace water heater this year, 13 years old, and that is costly.

I thought Philly area? I am about 90-120 minutes west of Philly and about 4-5 hours east of Pittsburgh.
I looked, lol. Been a while since I was in that area. Was on 81 N, east on 76 over the Walt Whitman, also took Burlington Bristol, but that was in 2018.
Took 81, wanted avoid the cluster fuch known as 495, 95, Patrick Henry, BWI area, lmao, when headed North or South. I'll drive outta my way to stay away from that mess.

You aren't missing anything, I'm about 20 minutes from either bridge on the jersey side, worked in Philly for over 25 years and took them almost every day. If the kids and grandkids weren't so darn close we'd be long gone from here.

We'll see what next year brings. Now if only the Browns could get their act together one more time in my lifetime I'd be happy, dysfunctional doesn't adequately describe that mess there.
Cluster Fuch may work (sic)

We R fortunate in Central TX. Frozen sleet suks. But freezing rain brings catastrophic events, like now in MS and TN.

We got about 7" then switched to sleet / rain around 1630 hrs. here in S. Jersey. Suppose to be ice by midnight when temps drop. Winter is doing winter things, no big deal.
Same mess over here. I was out with my 40 year old snowblower hacking through the loose and dry snow right when the sleet started. I was mostly done so I packed it in for the day.

Going out soon to assess the current situation. Will probably need to rework the walks but that should be easy with all the snow mostly gone.

Not sure how many snows are left in that old Sears machine, but it's hard to buy a replacement when I typically only need it once every 5 years or so.
