Just curious if anybody here has taken the stock bed rail covers off? I was wanting to take them off when I do a raptor spray in liner and spray the top of the rails, but I know there's holes under the covers. Has anybody patched these or found a good way to fill these holes in so they could spray over them and have it look decent and last?

Don't do it, there are too many holes under it. A lot of body work is headed your way if you do. This type of work usually requires welding. The good news is with bedliner you don't need to do finish work, but it isn't worth it IMO.

I remember someone doing a cheap rig job on a Ram, because the bedliner is so forgiving it actually looked decent. But wherever there was a hole there was a weak spot. Kind of bugs me Ram put those holes there for a stupid plastic bedrail.

here's an option and you can put bedliner right over it as well. easier then body work unless you do bodywork.

I'll probably end up leaving them on I've been searching and everybody is saying not to do it. It also bothers me that instead of putting them on another way they put holes all up and down the bed rails. Oh well I guess I'll just spray the bed and throw a trifold on it. Thanks!!
