Im pretty new to all this. My truck didn’t come with any type of bed protection. Will this work out since I will be putting in an ultra flex cover? How does this hold up to the ocasional dirty stuff thrown in the bed?

I'm pretty sure that you can remove them and hose them out and wash if needed. From the install videos I've watched they have velcro strips. I have a travel trailer that I will use if I have any really nasty stuff or for dump days so I'm hoping it will hold up and stay looking nice also.

*edit so I think the strips were on the floor only one to be removed. Not positive. I watched a lot of installs on the bedrug and the bedtred also so I might be mixing them up.

Not a 5th gen owner but I have a BedRug in my 2017.

Love it! For some reason I found myself climbing into and around the bed with just the factory spray in liner and it was murder on my hands and knees. Got the BedRug so now I dont dread going into the truck bed.

Its also a lot easier to shovel stuff out of, since the floor is now perfectly flat, instead of gravel getting caught in between the bed ridges.

As far as cleaning goes....they promise you can pressure wash it and let it dry and it will look as good as new. I havent tried that yet, but I have had: mulch, gravel, "process" (gravel + sand + stone dust), brush and concrete dust and once dried, all of that stuff has vacuumed out of the rug without issue. Have to admit, though, it does look a little odd vacuuming out your pickup bed but whatever works!

Yes, all of the full bedrugs (as in not the mats) come with the tailgate protector....actually it's one piece and there's no gap between the bed and the gate which is another thing I like about it.

And yes, you can spray it out with a hose, vacuum, sweep, whatever. Water does not penetrate through the rug, it stays on top.

My brother has had one for years in his Silverado and I love it, that's why I was eagerly waiting for the one for our trucks to hit the market.

So if I am understanding this correctly, by placing the order for $399.00 it will also contain the tailgate cover as well as what’s needed to ensure correct fitment ?

Mine did!

If you have the factory spray in liner, though, they recommend a different installation kit. One that comes with an adhesion promoter so the velcro strips will stick to the spray in liner better. I bypassed buying that kit, used the included one but was able to buy the adhesion promoter packets from a local body shop.

So you had me worried but I just checked with Autoanything about my order they placed for me yesterday and they confirmed that it DOES come with the tailgate piece attached. Still doesn't show up on their site so I did the online chat yesterday to order it and actually talked to the same guy a couple of minutes ago to confirm that it has the tailgate piece.

I was just helped out by Vaughn. He knew exactly who you were when I gave the part number lol.

You should be good to go, then. Maybe clean off the areas where you'll be sticking the velcro to with some denatured alcohol.

I stuck the bedrug side of the velcro strips to the bedrug sitting in my living room just to make it easier, then installed the bed side velcro strips over them (without removing the plastic).

Carried the whole thing already zipped together into my truck. Laid it in place in the bed and started "peeling back" the rug to figure out where I needed to put each velcro strip.

I think it was easiest to do the 2 long strips on the bed floor first, because it held it in place while I peeled back the sides to do the strips that attached to the bed walls, wheel well, etc.

I did the tailgate piece last.

On my '17, the BedRug has dashed lines embossed in it, those lines are meant as a pattern to cut along, so that your *stock* bed lights can shine through them.

custom installed under-rail LED lights *might* be OK....in my case the rug sits pretty tight against the side walls of the bed (the velcro ensures that) so if you hang LEDs from the underside of the bed rail, most likely the rug wont be in the way. Dont quote me on that, though, since no one has given me a 2019 yet :)

haha yep. That's the guy. Very personable and was quick to answer my questions. Can't beat that Amazon level of customer service I'm getting from autoanything.

Perfect, then ordering here I come. :)
There are plenty of install videos out there on youtube. It's a standard clean the bed, wipe down the application area with iso alcohol. Not sure if there is adhesion promoter that you put on after it's clean but that might be part of the deal too....seems relatively simple and as always an extra set of hands could help a lot to make sure nothing sticks before you're ready for it to stick.

Ok here’s my dilemma, the shop that I deal with told me they contacted Bedrug and they say they don’t currently have one for the 2019 models of ours. They have the ( classic ) for the 2019, but no eta on the one that we need. Is anyone on here who has a 5.7 bed that has a complete one installed or at the very least in their possession ?

I’m not doubting the shop, but really need to know for sure please if they are wrong....

Give them part number BRT19CCK and see if they can order it. The one for the old body style is BRT09CCK so avoid that one. Realtruck.com didn't have it on their website yet but I gave him the part number and he said yep it's in my ordering system. Then he called Bedrug himself to ask about availability. Came back on and said they have them ready to ship out, directly from Bedrug in Tennessee. Mine is on the Fedex truck right now, supposed to be here today. Hope to install tonight.

BTW, after seeing the part # in this thread, I called Bedrug myself and verified it with them. The lady there is who directed me to realtruck, she said they should be able to order them.

I’m going to bypass my shop for this One and order it direct as you’ve done. I’ll do this when I get back home this way I am there to receive it. Thank you for taking the time to respond. [emoji4]

Yeah, don't blame you. If he actually did call Bedrug, they would have told him what they told me, it's available. You do have the 5'7" bed, right? The one for the 6'4" bed is not ready yet per the lady at Bedrug.

Yes I do and he actually knows that, yet seemed a bit perturbed that I questioned him about it. My buddy is the owner so when I get back I’ll also call him as I’m trying to support his business. But if I’m requesting something that I available and am being told it’s not, that bothers me.
