Is it safe to install these without a bed cover or shell? Will it blow out? Bedrug is sitting in the garage, bed cover is still a month or two away.

It's meant to survive the elements. Full disclaimer....I have a Bakflip F1 covering my bed.

It goes in securely.....best to prep the bed exactly as instructed. There's a lot of Velcro...ahem, "hook and loop" fasteners. You just need good adhesion. The warmer outside the better. Test a small strip to make sure it bites. For some reason my bed was slick. I had to rub it down with a rag and alcohol. The tailgate strip still isn't perfect but there is no way this thing would fly out on the road. lol

I really like my bedrug and very nice crawling around back there now.

I love my BedRug. The Velcro holds it very secure. Had one on my last truck too. If it gets a bit dirty I just take it to the self serve car wash and use the pressure wand on it.

Hi; i am seeking some help with the install of a BedRug in my truck. I also have a spray-in bedliner a bed extender and the bed has LED lights. Any suggestions as to how to deal with these when installing the BedRug? Should I make cut outs or remove the brackets and lights and install over the rug? Apperciate any help. Also with the spray in bedliner any trouble with velcro sticking?
