Bent hitch

I have a 2015 Ram 1500 with a 6” suspension and 3” body lift. Ive never pulled anything with this truck until recently. I had to move my friends 24’ boat a couple times. The last time I towed it I noticed it was super bent. Could this be because of the body lift? The welds looks fine it’s just super bent down.

Are you using a drop hitch because of your lift? A drop hitch will have more leverage in certain directions an can cause extra stress.

Yeah, pics and a modification of the subject in the post. "It" in the sentence as written is actually referring to the boat, and I am not sure a boat bends, but can't wait for the funny pics to follow my post.
