Hi guys I would like some guidance on which break in oil I should go with. I’m just confused on what brand I should get? My engine takes about 7 quarts. I’m about to put back together after installing these new parts :

Hellcat lifters
Cam
Pushrods
Oil pump
Thermostat
New oil pan
New timing tensor

Just overthinking it because I can’t find any answers on other forms.

I would use almost any decent brand conventional oil, not a blend, not synthetic.

Those oils you list are for non-roller lifter motors.

Quick question, is it a complete rebuild with new rings or just the listed parts?

IF complete rebuild with piston rings, I would use conventional oil for the first 3000 miles with the first oil change at 300-500 miles.

IF JUST the listed parts, I would go straight to Redline 5-30 as you aren't really doing a breaking, there's no break in on roller cam/lifters.

As mentioned in your other posts, you do not use a "break in" oil. There is nothing to break in! Piston rings are the only break in item.

Redline 5-30 is synthetic (as mentioned) and one of the best oils for the 5.7.

It has a really good additive package that the 5.7 hemi seems to really like.

If you don't want to spend the high $$$ on the Redline any quality synthetic oil would work, the 5-30 weight is good for hot climates and/or towing.

Since you just did the cam and lifters you don't need any special break in oil.
So you can just go for the good stuff right from the start :)
