I dont see it here...so mods move if necessary. (thanx)
Ford to Dodge front axle conversion. On my one-ton dually, what is the best axle to use? (1998 )
I have checked on High Pinion and some others.
For sure I would like Timkins in the hubs. ( these unit bearings with a big V plow do not last)
I know people just swap out the parts and install ford stuff...to get free wheel. (and that is my goal rather than THE " Ram Man and all the others.)"
That is a lot more expensive than a conversion or axle swap.
My thinking is, why not the whole axle, then I will switch to a 3:55 or so ratio. (fronts and rear of course)
I have the Early G56 so this is geared pretty steep with 4:10
My choice is with King Pins, Timkins, and High Pinion.
But it is sure hard to sort out which is which!
I know some fords have springs others coil.
IDC, as I will just add on the brackets needed.
thanx for the read and help
