Looks like the TYC is running about 90 bucks on Amazon.

I read in a Dodge Talk thread a guy said the Diablo Trinity can control what temp the fans kicks on low and then high.

Also some complained the TYC brand was loud and vibrations can be felt in the cab. Anyone have this issue with the TYC? I would rather pay more to not feel my fan or hear it from the cab lol.

Maybe I can get the stealership to get me good pricing on a Mopar version, worth asking IMO. Need to go pick up my plates...

Hi All...New to the forum.

Sorry to bring up an old thread. I recently got a 2013 Ram 1500 5.7 and have been researching the v6 efan replacement. I did some searching of part numbers that were listed in previous posts and found this:

https://www.eastcoastmoparts.com/oem-parts/mopar-fan-module-52014772ad/?c=aT1UTTEzMDQwNSZyPWxheWVyXzE%3D

From the diagram it looks like it's exactly the same as the one that Hipps2000 installed, although he said his was a different number. When I search the number that he gave, it looks like it's the fan without the shroud (which is what it sounds like I do not want).

https://www.eastcoastmoparts.com/oem-parts/mopar-elec-cooling-fan-55056851ag/?c=aT1UTTA5MDQyNSZyPWxheWVyXzE%3D

Can anyone confirm? Thanks!

The part number I posted is the correct fan...ram also updates it’s part numbers at the end by yearly updates for example AD to AE to AF to AG now. I used an AF I believe. It the part number I posted was for an oem fan. Installed perfectly and plug and play.

Also my fan came with shroud.

It is my understanding that the 14 on up you don't need to replace the fan. The a/c fan that's on there is beefier then 09- 13.

I would say only run the stock 5.7 a/c fan without the clutch fan if you are not towing. I tried this for a while and it was fine but once I tried to tow a 3000lb enclosed trailer I had overheating issues. Now my clutch fan is back on.

Has anyone removed the clutch fan, but kept the standard 5.7 efan with the clutch shroud bolted on it? It seems like it would still get good coverage on the radiator, just not sure if having the cone mostly behind the fan instead of in front of it, would get close to the same effect as the tighter shroud on the 3.6 efan.

I don't think keeping the shroud on the stock fan makes a difference. Still not enough air flow.

Here is the difference between the 2 fans. There is a difference. V6 fan is better design... the oem fan has been flawless for me as well. I even ran it for a few months before I finally got my 180 stat and polished neck installed. Truck ran about 200-220 now it’s tuned for 180 and runs 180-190. Very happy!

Yeah we are getting ***** by FCA in Canada.

Found one in a wrecking yard for 225$ shipped Canadian. It's off a 2012 with 43k km so if it's not damaged it should be a good deal.

Well... This is what showed up....

I'm not gonna have time to install it for a few days but it looks like it's the right part... Just a different color from the one posted earlier and the fan blades look a little different

Always a different part # or superseded cause they keep stealing them off the cargo planes..
