Awhile back I was asking about what shocks to upgrade to on my 2020 power wagon and thank everyone for the good advice I received. I went with the Bilstein 5160's. I have the rears installed and will be installing the fronts this weekend. Can anyone provide some info on if the front shocks need a shock boot like the rears. I am just questioning this as the rear came with them and the fronts did not.

The shock boots are really only to help "protect" the shaft from rocks and such. I wouldn't worry about installing them if you're doing mostly road driving. I removed mine off my Jeep when I had it because it would hold mud and junk inside the boot and score up the shock.

I'm on the Airdelete site right now doing some research. Saw this. Check out the note at the bottom.

Includes:

  • Bilstein front struts
  • Front coil springs
  • Front upper strut mounts
  • Standard rear coil springs or +35% capacity
  • Bilstein rear shocks
  • Rear isolators
  • Optional: Front coil spring covers (Recommended for off road or gravel use!)

Thanks for the replies. Both are good pieces of advice with the same common theme. I hit the sand and gravel a lot between island beach state park and the Pine Barrens. If I order now, I will have them before the weekend. Thanks again for taking the time to Answer!!
