Hey guys,

When I bought my truck it had what I believe to be a 3" front/2" rear spacer lift on it. Now for the longevity of my suspension components I would like to swap this kit it for something better. I love the height that the truck currently sits at as well.

From what I can see my two best options would be going Bilstein 6112/5100 kit and set the front at 2.8" and keep my 2" rear spacer and add new UCA's. My other option would be spend a significant amount more and go with a 4" kit from superlift or zone.

The Bilstein option would set me back about $1100 for parts and $300 for install and alignment. The 4" kit would set me back about $1200 for the kit and $850 for install and alignment.

Which direction do you think I should go given the price difference?

Here is my opinion. I would go with the Bils or even the Eibach pro lift kit with UCA's OR skip the 4" and for just a little more go with a 6" Zone or superlift kit. had way too many customers spend the money again to go from a 4" kit to a 6" kit.

We can offer great pricing on all the items listed. Message me for a quote on anything.

I've looked everywhere for the eibach kit and can't find it, not even on their own site. Do you have a link to it?

Besides that, I can't go 6". My dogs and my girlfriend have a tough time getting in the truck with the current spacers so anything over a 4" will be too tough for them. And I'm too stubborn to use need bars.

Would you mind sending me some prices for the 4" kit, the Bilstein kit, and the eibach kit?

Get a 6” kit and leave out the extra spacer up front. Most 6” kits are 6” front, 3” rear (5” rear coils as option). By leaving the extra spacer you’ll have what amounts to a 4”-4.5” lift (most 6” front lifts are stretched 4” kits.)

4” kits are 4” front, 3” rear BUT most don’t supply all the rear suspension relocating brackets that the 6” does. The components for the rear make all the difference in the world as to how your truck will ride and handle.

there are more than a few other members here that share the same sentiment.

The zone 4" is a pretty complete kit. I'd already be stretching my budget with a 4" so I'm not really interested in going to a 6" but only using 4 inches of it

It’s $100 difference........just my $0.02 brother

Edit: well, for the Zone kit it doesn’t look like you get anything different for the rear so disregard if that’s the lift you’re looking to purchase.

that’s what I have now, 5” front with 3” rear coils, cv’s are flat

I don’t like the angles on the 4” kit

My 2014 don’t look like that........my Bils are @ .7 which is nothing.

that’s all it takes, mine is at 5” which is 1” over and mine are perfectly flat

Then what 4 inch kit should I get

if you go 4” Superlift get the Bilsteins option and set them at .7 or 1.4 “ lift.

If you go with zone get the 6” kit but don’t install the preload spacer. This will yield exactly 5” of front lift on bone stock struts (install may be cheaper since the shop won’t have to dismantle the struts). Get the 3” rear coils with optional fox shocks if offered. This should give you about 1/2” to 3/4” rake depending on stock pre-measurements

If i set my Bils to stock they’d be flat, not inverted. Mine look almost flat but they are ever so slightly beyond parallel.

I have the 4” Superlift.

please note; I cannot confirm because the pic on Superlift’s site shows one thing but the lift description doesn’t match..........my 4” kit came with the rear relocation brackets (same one the 6” kits has) but now that may not be the case.

Do you think going with the bilsteins with that kit is worth the extra $400?

If you don’t already have 5100’s then yes. You can’t buy all 4 Bilsteins for $400 and they are better than the “white body” shocks.
