Larger shock body and come with different springs
It shows a different model # for 5th gen vs 4th gen. Assuming valving difference but anyone know if the 5th gens are same length or possibly taller?
Same fit though. Some of the parts can transfer. If it’s taller it would increase down travel and reduce preload. That’s also how the higher end coilovers are setup. The newer rams use the same mounting but readjusted the strut to sit at a different ride height.2 diff Gens .... 2 diff PN’s .... 2 diff shocks .... Just get the right one for your truck ....

I found some info. They measure 22” and the ones for 4th gens are 21.5” so 1/2” longer. Worth it? Maybe. If I can find some.5th gens are taller and would work in a 4th gen. They would net an extra inch

Edit: I did email them as well so I can make sure lengths.
Edit: bilstein replied. They said they cannot release the collapsed and extended lengths and told me if I need something I could order custom as they do not recommend using parts from other vehicles for liability reasons. So until further measurements are released...
I have someone with a used set from a 4th gen so I’ll probably just buy theirs. Super low miles. I still have a 1/2” top spacer I can use to get that 1/2” longer and use slightly less preload to keep my desired height.The clip ring grooves are located higher as well.
