My 2wd is sitting on a 2 inch level and with bilstein 4600s and you cannot see them so I am going to go with wsutard1 and say it will be a waste of time to paint them. If it is that much of an issue then buy shock boots to cover them.

I never said it was a issue. David did.

Like I said, I'm not sure you can even see my shocks. I never really looked at my truck trying to see the shocks..lol

Lol. Sorry I guess I should have read all 6 pages. I will say that I am glad I went with the 4600s. They are very smooth.

I admit I am picky... I could not stand the look of these colors on any vehicle of mine.
No offense to those who have them... :)
My daughter, she's 4, she would love them for their colors! :baby:

Painting something that you will barely ever see seems like a waste of time.

That is only true if you don't care about what you or someone else will see when they are looking at your truck in detail. Both David and I have built up show trucks that get lots of attention and people spend/spent a lot of time looking at all the details and something like a different coloured shock that is out of place with the rest of the theme is like a sore thumb. The average person wouldn't know or care about it but some of us would notice things like that.

I understand, definitely wouldn't go with my color scheme, but I also look at it as if someone knowledgeable see's them. They know their Bilstein's and understand I don't cheap out on things.

I would notice them too, but it goes back to me saying I'm not sure you can really seem. Maybe from the rear I don't think you could from the side.

Glad to have some feedback on them. How many miles did you have on your shocks.

You think it improved the handling a little?

I had about 33000 miles on the original. The handling is much tighter. I think they are the best upgrade.
