You cants see any silver with mine. Let me find them in my purchases and I will link them over to you.So this was actually the reason I started looking into it, I bought the covers from Amazon too because they had awesome reviews - but when I went to install yesterday, you could still see the silver ring at the bottom of each lug. Did you run into the same thing, or maybe you got some different covers that don’t have that issue? It’s only when looking directly on, but I was surprised to see that with all of the positive feedback about them!
@MickeyGreene these are the ones I am using.

Thats weird. When this storm finishes up I will uncover it and take a picture as well. I also have a spare set of lugs Ill measure them. They are a great upgrade for the price.Yeah, those are the exact same ones I bought!! Bummer…wonder if my lugs are different. I’ll put one back on and take a picture to give an idea of the issue. Maybe it’s year or lug specific though…glad they worked out for you, I thought it would have been a great solution!
I was just doing a bunch of research on the forum last night about this! Seems the consensus is split between McGuard and Gorilla, and gorilla is a bit cheaper. There have been mixed reviews on the cheaper eBay/Amazon ones just chipping and turning orange with surface rust - some reported no issue at all though. I’m trending in the gorilla direction myself…
Not sure, they are already really tight just to get on the lug itself to ensure they stay on by friction, I think the flare would be really difficult and I’m not sure there is enough material. Here is what they look likeWonder if you could flare the bottom edge just enough to cover the ring and still get enough grip to keep them on? Maybe push them onto a dowel that's slightly larger diameter and beveled a little (though you'd have to do that 20 times)

Mine are don't stick out like that. Thats probably why I cant see mine. I have chrome clads that I removed the cover and had them painted. Mine are sunk in the hole. Not sure, they are already really tight just to get on the lug itself to ensure they stay on by friction, I think the flare would be really difficult and I’m not sure there is enough material. I never looked that closely at the sport wheels lugs. Yeah mine are really deeply sunk into the wheel. I would suggest black lugs for sure then. They are just so expensive vs the covers. I can see why you pulled them. I would have done the same...Ah got it, so probably has to do with the type of wheel you are putting them on. The sport wheels don’t seem to be a good application for these.
You might look at these.
