i cleaned the bumper real good with some dawn and a sponge then used a red scuff pad to make sure everything a gets a good bite. after that 3 coats of duplicolor adhesion promoter and finally the duplicolor rattle can bedliner. make sure to wipe the bumper with a damp rag after scuffing up the chrome.

do you have any ideas on the fake grille chrome. mines kinda got that bubble affect goin on and id like to paint it too. should i cut that crap out with a razor or could i just paint over it. i think the bedliner might flake or peel if i just paint over it.

Mine had the same bubble effect goin on too. I took it off my truck one day and took a razor blade and cut and scraped all the chrome off. It comes off like aluminum foil and itll cut your hands up pretty easily lol but after doin that, i just primed it and then painted it gloss black.

yah i just did the grille today actually and cut out the bubbles, it looks pretty good. you cant really tell the lines where i cut it because i used bedliner.

Oh, i went through and cut and scraped all of the chrome off of mine so it was just a bare plastic shell, then i primed and painted it. But i guess since youre usin bedliner you wouldnt notice it. You think that bedliners gonna adhere to the grille right though? Id be worried about it comin off easy with the chrome underneath it still.
