Anyone know where to get the black window pillar trim between the front and back door windows? I can find all kinds of chrome but I can't find any OEM. Just noticed the ice scrapper got ahold of mine at some point during this big freeze we just had.

mine are starting to bubble and Im thinking of Plasti-dipping them when its time. Cheaper and if gets damaged its easy to fix. I want to keep the black because if I ever get the windows tinted it will flow better than having a break of green in between

It's just stick on vinyl. You can use any automotive or outdoor grade peel and stick. Some member remove it completely because they prefer the look without it. There's also been people that didn't have it that added it, so it's personal taste.

I like the look of it on my truck, so I'm leaving it.

It seems much thicker than any vinyl I've used. Just found some black ones on ebay but they're glossy. Was looking for an OEM replacement. My windows are tinted and that's why I want to keep them. I'm sure as hell not sticking chrome on it, lol. Been killin' chrome since I bought this truck.

Safetyman, that came out very nice. I need to find out about peeling tape for Plasti-Dip. How to peel it without pulling the Plasti-Dip off.

I was told if you tape that once you spray peel the tape right away so it doesn't have time to set.

Mask off everything around your area, leaving ONLY the tape left that you are going to remove for last.

I did 6 coats, didn't wait but maybe 5 or 6 minutes between, but hit it with a hair dryer.

MY theory, and I've carved and painted a ton of duck decoys, is that if you let the paint set too hard, the next coat doesn't get enough "tooth"

The 5th and 6th coats are the only ones that I put on what you might call heavy....

As soon as you finish coat 6, and I mean put the can down and start, As SOON as you finish, peel your tape for your line. If you allow the surface of the dip to skin, you will not have a clean line.

I did my Hemi badges the same way...

That's half retarded. Think I'll try Plasti-Dip or get some flat black vinyl. Holy ****.

I usually debadge all my trucks. However with my new Laramie I was going to plastic dip the emblems. That is until I found this site.
https://www.google.com/webhp?sourceid=navclient&ie=UTF-8#q=dodge+ram+black+emblems

It's easy to take the emblems off except for the glue. Anyway, going to order some of these emblems ~ in black ~ and see how they look and also how they attach and how long one can expect them to stay on.
