Looking for some help here,
2009 ram 1500.
Finally pulled the whole dash to replace my heater core as I only had hot air on passenger side. Not that bad of a job but I noticed the white plastic piece that adapts the foot actuator output to the D shapped shaft on the physical hvac door was stripped out. I have looked but have been unsuccessful finding this coupling, does anyone have a better breakdown of this hvac box or a part number? Next option is to pull it out and try to 3d print one.

Thanks!

if you are in that deep & the HVAC unit is out of the truck

Replace the heater core & evaporator core

The outer housing is split, so install new doors

this company makes the very best doors

Crap I threw the dash back in same day without doing the evaporator. I'll try to get the coupling out for a picture, it's not quite the gear shape like that amazon post but thank you!

Best I could find quickly here. The part looks just like the amazon link but the 2009 has a spline end. The blurry screenshot from another post shows the white part im referring too.

If you can’t find it, I have a couple parts trucks, I can grab one and ship it to you. Have to send me a picture though, I’m not sure which actuator exactly your talking about

You may have noticed the Condenser cooling fins build up with dust & fiber like mud.

That is the reason that the Cabin Air Filter Mod is done so often.

Ram finally decided that they should at least carve out the door opening & install a door. They started doing that in January 2017.

Then if the customers want to have a Cabin Air Filter, they just have to buy it & install it

actually one of the better Cabin Air Filters is made by
FRAM

FRAM Fresh Breeze

it’s the only cabin air filter that can help remove odors flowing through the vehicle ventilation system, thanks to the ARM & HAMMER™3 baking soda and carbon embedded in the filter media.
any filter made with Charcoal particles, is good
