Cummins diesel.
Currently , I let my engine idle down for a few minutes to let it kind of cool down before I hit the no-go switch.

However, I have always been curious as to what temps She is running, so I picked up a BlueDriver scanner, and was curious what sensors and temps should I be looking at.

It currently has a host of exhaust bank sensors, exhaust gas recirc temp, turbo charger inlet temp amid many many other options. It almost has too many sensor outputs to choose from , but it is fun to watch the lines bounce up and down as I increase load on my power plant.

Probably the main ones to watch is the EGTB1S1(pre-turbo) EGTB1S3 (DPF, when it's over 1000°F it's in regen), Boost pressure, and CAC temp(post intercooler). The coolant, trans and oil temps are already on the dash.
Watch the EGTB1S1 and EGTB1S2(post-turbo) for cool down when really working the truck.
Granted these exact ones are what I watch towing with my EcoD on the Torque App, I believe the CTD uses the same designations.
