Thanks I did edit my post thought the picture had the name. Mx does look betterWould help a whole lot if you actually told us what scan tool it is you are looking. All the pictures shows is a cell phone.
That said the OBD scanner most of us use is the MX+ because it works well with ALPHAOBD. Only issue is they have gone up in price because thet are so popular.
Link is Canadian price, yours is about half.

Thanks that does sound better and $40 more is worth itI don’t know anything about the Blue Driver Pro. I use the OBDLink MX+ as it was recommended for use with AlfaOBD. Although it’s $40 more than the Blue Driver I personally find the MX+ to be a good overall scan tool as I use it on all four family vehicles.
I run Blue Driver for my needs. I had it doing pics and temps on my ED, which I used to have. I now have it for my Hemi. But I have it in a case, do not leave plugged into OBD port. I had to get it out yesterday cause my less than 2 year old AGM battery died, and the low Voltage threw a MIL and 17 codes. NOW U know with these low end to medium end readers, U can NOT CLEAR perm codes. They will reset themselves after *** amount of drive cycles if what caused the code repairs itself or after a repair.Just wondering if anyone has used this tool before and if its worth the money. My service advisor at the dealer recommended this to me.
Thanks for letting me know Im just looking for a read only scan tool Im not looking to program anything. I had a very cheap code reader at one point. Not sure where I put it. The blue driver looks nice for reading codes and has a description of what it could be. I will also look at the mxI run Blue Driver for my needs. I like my BD unit, works for me. And U can also scan, clear codes, smog test, scan all interlinked modules. U just not gonna change anything as it is basically a reader, not like a Witech. Thanks for letting me know Im just looking for a read only scan tool Im not looking to program anything. Sounds like what I am looking for glad people have experience with them on here. I hate jist buying something like this without hearing from people who use themI like my BD unit, works for me. Just my thoughts, but remember the word "assume", lol. All IMHO.Sounds like what I am looking for glad people have experience with them on here. I hate jist buying something like this without hearing from people who use them
Thanks Im still looking its not something I need right away. I was just talking to my service advisor at the dealer yesterday during my 60k inspection and he said he mentioned it to me so jist looking for real world reviews. From what ai see so far it will do what I would want it to do. The one I had before was a just a $20 reader that would clear codes but had to search what the code actually meant.Just my thoughts, but remember the word "assume", lol. All IMHO.
Don't buy on my say so, do more research. There are cheaper readers also, and more that read and access, kinda depends what U R looking for. There are a bunch of readers under $100 but I cannot attest to any since I have the BD unit.

ThanksThe blue driver would probably work well for your needs. Most of us that use the MX+ do so because we have AlfaOBD. AlfaOBD is a program used to access the computer system on our trucks. If you are only looking for a code reader the blue driver looks like a capable unit.
Thank you for the informationI use this and have been for a few years… have good results as it pairs to Bluetooth on my cell (IPhone 15 Max Pro). Save a lot of time and headaches up here in God’s country.
I use BlueDriver in my Ram and Camry. No issues w itJust wondering if anyone has used this tool before and if its worth the money. My service advisor at the dealer recommended this to me.
That sounds like what im looking for thank you for letting me knowI use it as well, have had it for quite a few years now. Both of my son's friends have just about every make and model of truck out there, it works well on all of them. what's nice about it is that it can read Mode 6 data.
