Exactly, my intentions of the post were just to say there is nothing unique or special about that truck as compared to any other Dodge truck of that era. Never thought twice about the post needing to be someplace else......though am surprised a little it hasn't been moved. I've made several posts on the PowerWagon page and found they had gotten moved because they were not 100% PowerWagon specific
What I find it if you put PW or Power Wagon in the title, the admin won’t touch it.
It could say “PW wiper suggestions?” And not move. But if I need something that is relevant to all HDs I post on the HD thread because there are more users that hang out there that can help. Same with “electronics”.

Personally I like this thread and I’m following it because I have an interest in antique trucks. And I hope the OP post more pictures soon. But he would get way more help posting this in the General section. Way more help!

So, what engine and transmission does it have.

It is obviously 4x4...it is a Powerwagon.

The 8 lug axles and 200 allow us to know it is a 3/4 ton.

Bench seat or buckets.

It is a 79 so it could have single round or dual rectangle headlights. Can not see the front in the pics.

The 79 also doesn't have the bird bath hood...so you wont have to worry about pouring water on the engine when you lift the hood.

Not 100 percent which transfer case yours has, but a simple look at your transfer case lever will let you know if it is full time or part time 4wd. Judging by your pic it looks like no hubs...but it is blurry.

Dual or single fuel tanks? Can not see the drivers side bed

We need more info and pics.

I wish I had one to work on right now.

Heres some more pics from when i first cleaned it. Hoping to take a more in depth look under the hood and such really soon. Besides a rip in the fabric the bench seat is pretty my mint. All the chrome is still very good condition and besides a ding on the front left wheel well its structurally sound. I kinda got sidelined from recently having carpal tunnel surgery so this is all i have for now. hope to get her up and running before winter.

Ahhhhh....a REAL bench seat!
Now THAT is a truck, in my humble opinion.
Sorry I'm no help but just had to say hope you recover soon and best of luck on the project, looking forward to following along.

Good to see that truck. i'm also a powerwqgon owner, of an old one. My W200 is a 1960 Dodge and was powered by a 230 cu in Flathead, although that has been replaced by a poly 318 V-8. Other than the 2019 Laramie i bought in December, it is my newest Ram. The one in my avatar is a 1941, and it is garaged also with a 1945, 1946 and 1947, All have the Ram ornament on the hood.

David, I had 39, 47, and 49, 57 700 series with the big hemi, that was years ago, they where not 4wd though.
Bernie, that looks in great shape for a 79 in Canada, I am in SK, Had a 75 , brother had a 76.
At one time I had manuals for it but years ago, I would suggest used book stores and I know a couple I buy books in have a self of used shop manuals . These did not change much between years, just the trim and grills, so close should be O.K. Most will cover all the different motors , transmissions, axles used in that time frame.
Owners manuals, maybe ebay, I don't really look at it, to many temptations, as I am a Stanley tool and watch collector with too many??????

Dang! You have a real gem there. That is a W200 3/4 ton, You can still find W100s and W150, but a W200 is pretty rare.
