I'll tell ya what, if my truck comes in and isn't 100% perfect, I'm going to be PISSED THE F OFF! The thing has been in what I can only assume is quality assurance for almost 40 days.

Chrysler is DEAD TO ME!

I'm with you Chris...I'm inspecting the crap out of the truck when it arrives, and if it's not MINT I'll be leaving it there and taking my deposit back.

The thing is, I absolutely love my truck. Other than this issue, the truck is awesome. Its like they spent a ton of time engineering these trucks but the quality of the people who actually put them together is spotty. Hopefully when you guys finally get your trucks they will be fine.

I hear ya. When you spend this much money and wait as long as we've had to wait for our 8 speed orders, they damn well better be perfect.

My 2013 sits an inch lower on the left side. Quite noticeable when standing looking at the truck from behind. Any suggestions what I should do about it? Has anyone else encountered this? Plus the tailgat doesn't fit properly.

I noticed my box is shifted a bit to the pass side and ive already had it line-x'd. Also, on the drivers side theres a little slit where you can see the ground passed the bed.

I have personally seen that on mine, as well as another truck- with MORE than an inch of difference. We each lowered the driv & pass sides drastically different to compensate.
Honeslty, you can take it to the dealer but swapping springs may or may not help. Putting a spacer to raise the low end, or cutting some off the higher spring might be the only real solution.

When my 8 speed Sport finally arrived I checked it out pretty close, and never noticed anything, however the last time I washed it I did notice that close to the back of the drivers door it has a slight wave in the body, and almost looks like a dent, but really hard to notice, in fact I had hard time finding when I went to show my wife. So far that's the only thing I've noticed...everything else fits just right, and the truck sits level looking from the back of it.

Take it back to the dealer. They should fix it to your satisfaction and if they don't, find a dealer that will. I got lucky, my dealer was very accommodating. Got me a rental car(300C!!), and sent mine to a body shop where they put it on a frame machine and realigned the body and bumpers of the truck. Haven't had a problem with my tailgate and neither does a buddy of mine that has a 13 Laramie. I'll admit, I am a perfectionist when it comes to my vehicles but at the same time when you spend $30K+ on a brand new truck, it damn well better be PERFECT.

Body parts alignment issues and crappy paint jobs more than likely depend upon which plant assembled a given vehicle. My 2012 is a good example of everything actually being as it should be with respect to alignment and the paint job is great, assembled in Mexico (go figure). Is the decades old problem with Chrysler's U.S. assembly plant labor still lurking around?

My box may be ever so slightly off to the drivers side, but not enough for anyone to notice. The paint does have dirt in it in areas. Not something I care about really, but it still shows that they need to get their act together.
