Brake light fuse keeps blowing

Some where from the brake light switch (new one) to the connector behind the front tire there is a short that keeps blowing the fuse. Tail lights, parking lights and blinkers/ 4way works okay. Need help badly

Note is 2001 dodge ram 2500 diesel.

The first place to check is where the wire goes through the firewall or any other penetration point where rubbing could occur. You might just have to hand over hand trace it out.
