Hey Everyone, I just bought a new RCSB with the Uconnect 5.0

I would like to add new speakers and an amplifier but avoid cutting the factory wiring. Does anyone know if there's a breakout harness I can put in between the factory radio and factory harness to send the speaker outs to a line out converter?

Also could just splice into the factory lines and run your own speaker wire.

Thanks Baum

Thanks Baum! that's exactly what I was looking for, I'm thinking I should be able to use an aftermarket radio adapter for the other side and splice the wires together.

Adrian, the reason for the harness is to avoid splicing in the vehicle. I can solder all the connections i want to make to ensure they last and I can return the vehicle to stock without too much trouble if I ever chose to.

I did the same thing with my Forester but there was a guy I found who built the combined harnesses, which saved some time.

I've yet to find someone who sells the other side by itself. It's crazy. On my older cars I'm used to seeing a harness that plugs into the factory harness to add an aftermarket radio. The Metra harness plugs into the factory radio, though. I can't believe there's much of a market for that.

Anyway, I'm working on sourcing unassembled connectors for both ends so I can build my own harbess. I figured I'd mount my LOC in the dash and just run the RCAs out.
