My wife had this same issue on her 2006 Durango. Thankfully the back to snapped right at the manifold flang (outside) so when I removed it, I had a good 1" of bolt sticking out that I was able to get a vice grip on and get it out.
that has to be poor material, or improper radius on the underside of the head, or just bad engineering, or a combination of all three. I don't understand why mother mopar would allow this to continue ad nauseam. Is there no quality control on these bolts?
