So drove up to NY and picked up a used, certified, 2013 Ram 1500 HFE RCSB V6. Really loving the truck so far. The truck has about 700 miles on her now, bought it with 204 miles, hence the "Used". It was previously titled by the Chrysler LLC test division, was used as a show truck. Had the RamBox that I was dying to have and the brown interior that I think looks fantastic. Was a long day of driving me and a buddy did a road trip up there left at 6:30 am got there a bit before 3, had it looked over, did the test ride, had it filled up, cleaned, deal negotiated and gone by 4 and made it back by 2am the next day. Worth it for the truck I wanted at a deal I couldn't pass up. Only thing I compromised on from my wish list was the color, I probably would have paid a pretty penny more for a copperhead pearl one but there isn't one in the country with the options I want at a price I wouldn't regret later, trust me I've been looking for months. That and I like the idea of the wheel to wheel side steps, I'd probably only use them for washing the rear window and drying tonneau after the car wash but it would have been nice. And now for the truck ****.

Babies first Christmas, and by baby I mean Truck and by Christmas I mean carwash.

Very nice upgrade, even better mpgs!! If I missed an you don't mind asking what did you pay? I can imagine the "used" title really helped :)

Not sure if you know the area though but the drive from NY though Pensylvania is nothing but up and down big ass steep grade mountains too, and I was all over the place in the RPM range since I was a little worried with it being practically new about following some sort of break in process and I've always heard that you don't want to maintain a steady RPM or speed, and then as a motorcycle guy I remember guys always saying drive it like you stole it when its new, something about getting a good seal or something, I didn't redline the truck, but then there is no red line.

Yes it does, it actually unlocks when you shut off the engine too when you open the doors, I love that RamBox already, the sound of it locking brings a smile to my face every time.

I'd have to grab the build sheet again (it had all the manuals and paperwork still wrapped in the plastic) and the build sheet was in the glove box, but it was MSRP new at 33 something, I drove off at right around 22, took it to carmax while my buddy dropped off the rental we drove up there, they offered me 24 for her right there, couldn't be much happier with the deal I got. I got some lower offers on brand new 14s but only in the tradesman/express category and they weren't with the features and options I wanted. The brown interior and the RamBox were the biggest selling points for me besides the price of course.

Bought a catch can just waiting on arrival, going to do some debadging in the next couple days, dont feel the need to advertise Im driving a HFE truck. Looking into but having no luck finding wood accent pieces, would love some authentic ones out of the laramie and ling horn trucks but no luck so far. I would like some of the wheel to wheel side steps, I like the oem ones but the cost of new ones is more than more than I want to spend. Also would like some HID headlights and LED tails, going to see if I can cut back my coffee habit for a couple months, call it my coffee vs lights fund. Any other mods/upgrades yall would suggest?

Nice truck, congrats! I was curious how the V6 feels power wise. Have a fried that bought a 2013 Charger with the V6 and that car is way faster than I would have expected from a V6.
