I have searched and cannot find a definitive answer, but is it possible to get a brushed metallic finish on the exterior with paint rather than going with a wrap?

I know a guy who did it. I called him an idiot, technically I was wrong. He used a gallon of rustloleum and a couple paint brushes. Looked like hot ass.

This reminds me of a "Rust-Oleum" paint job on a 68 mustang. The guy posted a whole series of photos of the job. Dozens of people ridiculed him. Seeing the car in person, the paint looked fantastic after the guy put a couple dozen hours into wet sanding and polish.

However, YMMV.
