I have a '14 Express QC with 5.0 radio and factory 6 speaker system. I wanted a little better sound from the radio. After a little looking in this section of the forum and a little internet research I decided to install the KICKER CS series speakers in the truck. 3.5" dash, 6.5" frt door and 6x9 in the rear door. I purchased the speakers through Crutchfield for $210 with free speaker wiring adapters for no wire cutting, bracket to mount the 6.5' in the door and free shipping. Install was very easy, plenty of Youtube video's on RAM speaker install's. Much better sound and clarity for a simple, inexpensive upgrade. Was surprised how cheesy the factory speakers are.

Good feedback, yes the factory speakers are pretty weak.

I personally have not heard what Apline did to the amp settings. It's similar, just not sure what actual output per channel is. I'm sure crossover is very similar to ours. The biggest improvement is the sub. Alpine used a 150w 8", we have a 200w 10".

Also saw you wrote somewhere about a 4.1 amp.... curious how or where that would tie into this alpine system... wich is yes. Terrible. I have 2 sets of cs35's and a set of cs6.5 for the front... just wondering about this amp..
Thanks.

The 4.1 is an OEM amp similar to the Alpine. Just the harness from the amp to the main audio brain, the harness, is not complete yet.
