I have a 2016 Laramie with Projector headlights. I am having an issue identifying the correct low beam bulb. The manual shows 9005, but some auto parts stores show H11 and I watched a video on you tube which showed a 9012. The 9005 bulb does not seem to fit in the housing. It's frustrating and the bulbs are not cheap. Any help would be appreciated.

The Projector housings on my '21 Warlock have the bulb type embossed on the front.
HB3 is a 9005.

Or, you could call or visit a dealership with your VIN.

What month was your truck built according to the door jamb decal?

As Ken mentioned, sometimes there's a bit of overlap to the changes.

My projector housing says the same as yours, HB3 and the manufacture date is 10/15. The funny thing is that the 9005 bulb does NOT fit in the housing.

That's odd.

The spec and the housings indicate 9005.

Is there any possibility the bulb you tried wasn't a 9005?

Or you had a moment with the assembly?

Are you not the original owner and the socket may have been modified?

I am not the original owner, so it is entirely possible that the housing was modified. I have a H11 bulb that I will try and if that does not fit, I will purchase a set of 9012. I guess I can always return them if they don't fit.

With the amount of effort to remove the Projector housings, I would be inclined to buy a selection of bulbs first.

Unless you have another vehicle and can leave the truck housing disassembled.

Can you take a picture of the bulb that came out?

H11 is the size for the reflector Low beams, the factory projectors are either 9012 or 9005 for the Lows depending on the year..
9012 and 9005 can be interchangeable with slight modification
