I love mine..for what I paid for it! (Bought it used)..but if money isn't a problem then I'd go diablosport with a custom tune!

Like Glock said, if you can get 1 cheap, then its not a bad tuner, but it doesn't compare to a Diablo unit with a good custom tune.

For the orice its supposed to have strong custom tunes. If you don;t want to go the custom tune (Diablosport) route I would also consider the Superchips programmer.

FWIW I may be on of the few members here with a 4th gen truck and a Superchips. I like it for what it does and the price. I bought a 3840 model and sold it to upgrade to a Diablo with custom tuning but I just couldnt pull the trigger on the price tag of them. Those that have it love it. I found a 3842 SC used on another forum for a killer price. The guy had bought all 3. Bullydog, Superchips and Diablo. He liked the Superchips out of the 3 for a canned tune. Of course the custom tune is much better but I guess it depends on what you want and the $$$ you have to spend

Every truck built is a little different, as are the conditions we drive them in; not surprising one tuner works better than others in a given situation.
I like that the SC has a dedicated towing tune. HF says their 89 tune is fine for towing, but that's not the same as a dedicated tune with presumably higher knock watch etc.
I'm close to enough to end of warranty that if/when I find $1000 I'm ready for a DS w/custom.

I have wondered this as well. Are all the canned tune programmers the same or is one better? More tunes, more support ect.?
