Driving home last night and noticed the truck was pulling to the right like a *****. wasn't shifting right, rpm's were running up. Pulled over and got out and the passenger front rotor was GLOWING. couple months ago it did the same thing but it wasn't glowing when i looked. smoke was billowing out of the wheel well that time though, not as much smoke this time. let it sit for about 20 minutes till my girl got there to follow me the rest of the way home and let it cool and it was fine. the first time me and my dad pulled the wheel off, checked everything and it was fine. it sat at his house over night that time. called Napa today, taking the Caliper off Thursday night and getting a replacement Friday. just glad both times i was only going about 40 when it happened.

Well, youre on the right track...it's either the caliper or the lining in the flex hose has collapsed, not allowing the caliper to be pushed off the rotor. Both are pretty common though.

when that happened to me on my durango the pads rusted in place and seized both calipers. I had the same thing happen to my ranger too. so I make sure the pads float where they sit.

That weird ass chicken foot thing that shop put on there needs to go. If ball gets canceled this afternoon I will try to send you a pic of how mine is craddled. The top rubber mount is the same as mine and the rod is the same size just where yours splits mine goes to the side then craddles the bottom. I have yet to break mine knock on wood.

I had a rear one lock up on my Grand Cherokee back in March. Gouged the **** out of the rotor and turned the pads to orange/burnt dust.

I decided to do calipers, rotors & pads on both rear sides. Autozone parts, lifetime warranty on everything, cost was just under $300 after tax. Maybe took 3 hours in the driveway to do both sides taking my time and a little break between sides...
