hi all. First timer here with not a lot of knowledge about engines. I can figure out the minor stuff but this one has me stumped
I’m getting the p0344 code which points to the title of this thread after some awful performance issues: truck sounds like it’s in first gear, poor acceleration, poor gas mileage, check engine light on and oddly, intermittent traction control light stuck in off position.
Anyway, easy fix. I goto the store and get the sensor. Only problem is I’m still having the same issues and I’m getting the exact same codes.

I don't know about you're particular issue but there has been reports of people haveing issues with aftermarket sensors. I know it's more expensive but try an OEM one from dealer.

Bought another sensor. Same deal. Guy in autozone says it could be a bad spark plug. Is this possible? Could a bad spark cause those codes? Symptoms are very alike

Get you're battery checked, a weak battery can cause all kinds of issues. Other than that check wireing from sensor to make sure it's not shorted anywhere. JMO but with the other issues you reported but only one code being stored the battery would be my first guess.

Ok guys so i thought I would check in on an update to this problem in the hope that it will be of help to other as green as I.
My own mechanic friend is baffled by the solution to the problems i was having. he doesnt exactly work on really new cars so maybe thats why, i dont know./ Im an ex computer guy and previously owned a total piece of crap chevy silverado before this. Mo knock on chevy, this was an 05 and was falling apart when i bought it.....they saw me coming.
Anyway, so i was getting the following symptons,,,,,check engine light, traction control light stuck in off position, cruise control intermittent, very poor acceleration, revving sounds while idle. sounded like the trany was gonna totally die.
Guys at autozone said try injection cleaner which i did. the next day i was having the same problems going to work. it was sounding real bad so i pulled over to a gas station and got a couple quarts of oil. as soon as i started the engine, the traction control light was off. When I got to the job, i disconnected the batteries, reconnected and the check engine never came on. I got an oil change later that day and it has been running like a dream. My theory is that my oil was jink (i think it was too long since i last changed it) or i was low on oil. I have no idea how it fixed 'all' my issues, but it did. Maybe someone here can tell me why?
