It's up to the dealer. Some will add your email to tracking and some don't. My dealer doesn't - they say that the statuses are often too confusing. Based on some of the stats I've seen I agree. However, they (the dealer) still have access to the tracking, so at the least you should be able to get updates from your salesperson if they are agreeable.
Frankly, unless/until they activate GPS tracking on the U-Connect, you aren't going to know where it is until you see it in the parking lot. And realistically, even if you can see where (on the globe) it is, that doesn't really help unless you know what the logistics are. IOW, just because it's at Grand Central Junction doesn't tell you when it's leaving or how many stops there are until the next transfer.
Order it. It arrives. You pick it up. Those are the three main stages and only the first and last can be controlled by you.
