My 2019 RAM CLASSIC came with the crappy standard Radio 3.0 / Uconnect® 3 with 5–Inch Touchscreen Display.
I wanted the 8.4C NAV UAQ as well.
Little did I know that the 2020 RAM CLASSIC would have it included!

So I looked around and actually found one on Infotainment.com that had the head unit, the  CarPlay / Android Auto plug to be swapped out with the stock one that’s in the armrest / center console, plus the bezel needed for the upgraded radio + they threw in the adapter that makes it possible to use the climate control on the screen, as one whole kit!

Altogether(shipping) it cost $1,865 with a $246 discount. It usually runs $2,112 with shipping.

I noticed they had an upgrade available for the 2013-2017 Infotainment Ram 1500 2500 3500 GPS Navigation 8.4AN RA4 Radio Upgrade
$1,399.95

Not sure if that helps at all or not.

I would suggest checking out Infotainment.com to see what they have to offer.

Here is the thread with all the information on doing the swap. Contact via forum PM @Mpgrimm2 for harnesses, consultation on what is needed and custom kit with everything you need except the radio. He is taking some time off over the holidays so it make take a few days fro him to get with you.

Or get the parts yourself and the harnesses from us and save yourself $600-$800.

Hardest part is locating a used ram 8.4 UAQ or UAS radio.

M² Mods.

Please don't get one of their kits. Many of their customers end up here for support. Save yourself money and aggravation by buying from a forum vendor. The folks here on this forum are the ones who pioneered the swap as well as the relevant harnesses. Other "borrowed" from their work.

YouTube has some videos on this swap, as I understand it all Rams are wired to accept this, and other changes, you'll just need the parts

I had the 8.4 with the crappy ram navigation in my 2017 limited. Updgraded to a 2019 head unit with nav in January 2020 simply for the Apple Car Play. Will never buy another nav. upgrade. I plan on keeping this truck another 3 years. I bought the upgrade from infotainment.com. Everything you need for a 15 minute upgrade thats right 15 minutes. Just watch a video on how to take the dash apart there are hidden screws under all rubber covers Great sevice great product but PRICEY. But I will smile everyday for the next 3 years when i get in it.
