I am looking at putting a larger cam in my truck, it’s currently a 2012 ram 2500 with the 5.7 hemi, non mds. I was wonder what the maximum loft I can go is. I’m currently looking at one with the following specs and need to know if it will work. Most likely i will be putting this into a 6.4 eagle hemi that I want to swap into the truck.

  • Int. Advertised Duration: 266
  • Exh. Advertised Duration: 279
  • Int. Duration @ .050: 218
  • Exh. Duration @ .050: 226
  • Int. Lift: .612
  • Exh. Lift: .605
  • LSA: 114.

You going to need a 3200 plus stall convertor on that cam.
Need to go smaller if ya going to tow heavy.
Get with someone like Jay Greene to discuss cam grind & how you use your truck.

There's also David Webber at MMX ,and there's a new big player in the game TSP who are now branching out into VVT Hemi cams, looks like it's John Smith you have to hunt down at TSP.Jay Greene can do a custom cam grind for your application, which in your case might be the way to go
