Can't open lower console storage

The lower center console storage latch will no longer open the lid on my 2014 Ram Big Horn - the handle squeezes but the latch doesn't release. How do I get into the area to fix it? I can order a new part (latch) but I need to get into the space to replace it. Any ideas will be appreciated. - Thanks

You might look at the rear of the console
The part that you see if you were to be in the back seats

I saw an image where a guy was holding that end piece in his hand
There is a chance, that with that piece removed, you may have access to the hinges

I looked once, hoping to find a backdoor without any success. I'll look a little closer, maybe I missed something.

I just replaced my latch. The handle has 4 plastic pins that should pull UP on the lower part. The handle swings OUT, so it put a lot of stress on two of the pins causing the holes in the handle to break. You CAN open the lower part. Just reattach the handle on the two lower pins (you can feel it catch) then carefully pull straight up. Ta-da. Got a replacement from fleabay

How did you open it to get install the new part? Or did I miss read something. Mine ins broken shut and won't open.
