I opted against the spray-in and plastic bed liners, instead buying a mopar bed mat from the dealership. The mat for the 5.7' bed was cut perfectly and laid in there without a fuss. The tailgate mat came with 16 screws, in which they expect you to drill into the tailgate. I ended up pulling the tailgate plate/cover off using a torx bit. I drilled holes into the mat to match the placement of the torx bolt holes in the tailgate plate. I then inserted the torx bolts through the mat and plate then screwed back into the tailgate. While I'm only using 10 bolts and the bottom isn't secured like the top, it seems perfect. I didn't have to drill holes and the mat can flop around a little to prevent moisture buildup.

Maybe this has been discussed before but I couldn't find anything in a search and thought that I should post in case others run into this dilemma. I'll post again if the 10 bolts aren't strong enough.

you could try some of the hd velcrow they use for the Bed rug at the bottom.

I had a rubber mat in my old dakota and loved it.

That's a good idea. I don't really want it to sway too much as I assume that the rubber could stress over time
