Carven competitor

Ok guys, bought a used Carven competitor from our very own forum member R.L.K. and slapped it on today... For those that are scared that it's too loud, it's kinda not. First off there is no crazy drone, 2nd yes it's loud but I was able to have a normal conversation with the wife in the car without having to raise our voices... That being said it actually set off some car alarms. So the verdict... It's freaking loud but not so (inside the cab) much that it's unbearable or even annoying.

I love my Carven Progressive. The sound is perfect...and no raspiness at all through the entire powerband. Nice low rumble.

Any cabin noise (there is some) is negated with songs from my iPod.

4500 mile trip coming up in 3 weeks...can't wait! We'll see how it is on long trips...but I'm not worried.

Progressive: Toned down just a bit / bit larger than the competitor
Competitor: Louder / smaller muffler

One really nice thing about the Carven's is there is NO welding. Plug and play. Even a guy like me who doesn't work on his own vehicles can change it out. Took me about an hour.
