I am very happy with the sound! Sounds like old school muscle to me. I haven't noticed any drone either. This is an excellent direct fit muffler in my opinion. First time experience using the butt splice clamps. Very easy install after removing the factory muffler. I was skeptical with these clamps but so far no leaks! I did use copper high temp silicone rtv as a little added insurance. As the pictures show I got carried away using this stuff.

If you look aggressive muffler delete sound with a bit more cleaner tone then it is worth it.

Just had mine installed today. I love it! Had the 14" Magnaflow direct fit prior to this. Very similar until u get on it, then it roars! Also has more of a muscle sound which I totally prefer. Even after spending the money on the magnaflow then pretty much the same price on this one, it was still worth it to buy this one as the sound is exactly what I was looking for. No regrets and probably will be even better once it breaks in!
I'm liking mine more every day. The Mrs is getting a little pissed though as I keep telling her to HANG ON!!!

VeggasDragger: That is a great video of how easy this kit is to install yourself in your own drive way. The clamps have proven to work great! The RTV sealant is a good choice.
That sound is amazing! I never get tired of hearing it.
My son has had the Carven on his FX4 5.4L 3V for over 2 years now and gets nothing but Thumbs Ups and Compliments. I enjoy driving his Truck! Even though it rarely happens.

Put mine on this past Thursday. I have been through a lot of mufflers on various vehicles. This is by far the best sounding I have ever had. Have it on a 2016 and man the sound is awesome

Just put this on My 16 express today, stupid easy, took all of 30 min start to finish. Sounds very good, good tone at idle and part throttle, very loud when you stomp on it, quiet at highway speeds. Best 269 I ever spent.

Yes, at idle has that nice muscle car sound, not obnoxious but u know it's there. Driving around town u can tell much louder but in a very good way and when u hit it, look out cause it roars! But even then just has an awesome sound.

Just installed my Carven RA-X kit and everyone else here with it are on point in the description. I love it! However, I am getting some drone and idk why nobody else is. This is the only mod on my truck. I've got rims and tires, black lights and this exhaust lol. My drone is at around 1,600-1,700 rpms. Any help would be great. Would that silicone stuff take care of it maybe? I did tighten the clamps to the 40 ft/lbs as specified. Does it need to break in? I made sure the clamps didn't go over those welds or whatever they are on the stock piping. Seems to have a good tight seal.
