Stumbled across this on 1 of the car pages.Fits the 5.7 and 6.4 cars,not sure about the trucks though.
Curious on your guys thoughts on this Cat filter.

Apparently, a new-ish joint venture corporation is making filters for CAT. Looks like a private-labeled Donaldson filter, made in Illinois.

Found this link over @ Bob's, site looks like a number of types of filters. I saw fuel & oil, not sure about coolant and air.

No doubt the quality is there, but likely keep their filtration efficiency curves a trade secret.

If it fits it should be fine, I've never really known Cat to have bad filters in their branded stuff.

Only problem I can think of is will it fit....
You can't install a really tall filter (At least on mine - 2008 truck with a 5.7) due to possible interference with part of the metal structure (Frame) directly beneath it.
A fat/larger diameter filter would probrably be fine as long as the oil filter's O-Ring pad it has is the correct size but a taller one might have issues, depending on how tall it is.
Also, you really don't want a honkin "Fat" filter either since it's kinda close to the block once installed.
