Center console swap a PW

I think it’s for nostalgia purposes to be honest. And the lever just actuates an electronic so I bet you could do the swap with relative ease

i agree with the nostalgia of it.

but, the tcase shifting action is all manual. The front axle engaging is electronic, however.

yeah you can feel the feedback on the shift lever if you let your hand rest on it while moving. The nostalgic part makes the most sense. I actually have grown to like it. haha

Console with be parted out or sold as a whole. maybe one of you guys want to swap this into your pw. I have two extra tcase arms that I will include with the sale so you can bend them to find your needs if you want.
glad I tried the console not for me though.

Has nothing to do with the lockers. Its because it has a manual shift transfercase, Which is in the way of the council. The council trucks shift the tcase electronically.

Im sure it would be a ***** to swap from manual to a electronically controlled, but possible.

Hm, i have not read that anywhere.

The ‘19 and up do have electronic shift trans, though.

I test drove a 19 and its a manual 4x4.
I looked at a 20 and still a manual 4x4.

i have a 2020 PowerWagon. The transfer case is definitely still a manual shifter lol.

But the newer ram 1500 trucks have the electronic shift-on-the-fly case.

I don’t understand why you would want to change from the manual transfer case.. the reason I bought the truck was for the manual transfer case. LOL

I’m lost as to why people are scared of the electronic 4x4 shift on fly. I use mine prolly more than anybody on here and it’s flawless. And works as it should. Clean that floor up lol

Same reason everyone was against the 8 speed dial selector attached to the best transmission ever engineered.

They love stroking the shaft in their trucks.
