Well I don't know about anyone else but I won't put the lives of my family and others on the road and my truck and trailer at risk by using cheapo tires and saving a few $.
But that's just me.

So far he's spent 400 for tires and 156 for balancing/mounting 556 plus tax.

If he got good tires at Discount tire he would have gotten free rotation and free flat repair.

Main problem I've seen with cheaper/cheapest tires is keeping them balanced. I've had a few sets of these cheaper tires over the years, and just found them to be more of a hassle than the monetary savings would suggest.

I ran Atturo Trail blade XTs (35x10. 50R20) on my Jeep Wrangler JKU for 30k miles with no issues other than they wear ugly.. Had near half tread left when I sold it. They took alot of weight to balance but so did these janky Goodyear. Can't beat the price for what ya get.

I put Amp A/T pro's (305/55/20) on my ram. Almost 40kms on them and still going strong. Had a slight vibration around 90-100kph but a quick balance and rotation fixed that. For $200 a tire I feel I did alright. Everyone thinks they're KO2's, but half the price. 46fddced9fd65b287efb9b66d625ca43.jpgdbb1b83452b85631568e506c9d6b6d6f.jpg504fd173e0a0182271096b0e86fb888e.jpg

I gambled on some trail blade XTs, wasted money at 2 diff shops trying to get them balanced, they shook hard at 70 no matter what. Called walmart to return them, they didnt even want them back just gave me a refund and said keep the tires. Got Coopers thru discount via a price match of walmarts price, and the ride is soooo much better. Smooth as glass at any speed.

Lesson learned.

Like with anything there is good and bad stuff :O But all tires as far as I know have to meet certain standards to be sold in the states !, research reviews is still the best way. As I mentioned before I got a great deal on my GOODYEAR AT/S tires, Retail about $159.00 and sell for a avg about $140.00 ,$110.00 at Wal mart ,I got mine a black Friday special 90$ a tire and 2k mile later still hold a great balance and wearing well ! They are a Light duty AKA 4 ply so I would not go off road with them :O But my RAM is a street queen, no towing etc . so fine for me ! From what I have read the tire s from China are hit and miss ! I have to laugh when someone say GOOD YEAR tires are Junk :O They have been in business for over 100 years , not bad for a company :) They may not be the best for all types of use but neither is any tire :O
