My initial impressions are that it actually made my exhaust quieter. Not sure how that happened but I'll survive with it. Acceleration is definitely improved, I've already tried it out on city streets and the highway. Haven't noticed a mileage difference yet but I've only put about 20 miles on it. I'm a little surprised at how loose the fit is. It's a little lopsided and you can push it around a bit. I guess I could say it's less sturdy feeling than I thought it would be, but that's fine with me as long as it remains secure and keeps giving me the power gains.

That makes me feel alot better. Thanks for letting me know. I guess that's why everyone says it's not the number 1 pick for a factory like fit. I'd personally rather have the power :biggun:

Just the VR for now. The shop I use doesn't do welding, so the guy offered to clamp it on for me but I politely declined. I'm gonna wait till I can scrape up the cash to go to a muffler shop and have them weld it on properly. Only the best for my truck lol

The shop should only have to make 2 pipes for the front 2 inlets to match up and then just connect the Y and you will be good to go. Im glad the VR is at home under the hood and not in the back of a dang FedEx truck anymore :waytogo:

Ok awesome, thanks. And amen to that brother! lol. I'm so excited to finally have it in. I had the girl in the truck earlier today and (knowing less than nothing about trucks) even she said without me asking that it sounds louder and now the truck "growls" instead of just being loud. I couldn't be happier.

Update on the VR you guys. I just drove me and a buddy to the beach, about a 150 mile trip one way. The VR netted me a 2 mpg increase! I was riding at 16mpgs average and now I'm at 18.1. I would say that it's due to the whole drive being on the highway, but the majority of my driving day to day is highway anyway. The 18.1 is according to the EVIC so it might not be 100% accurate but at least it's an improvement!

Also added the Gumout fuel additive this morning when I filled up the tank before setting out on the trip. So we'll see what that does.

There's a huge car show here at the beach so lots of awesome rides driving around!

I put this up in one of my other threads but figured I'd add a pic here too. Got the Mopar decal on finally when I had good weather. I love the way it looks but I think I'm gonna swap it out for a bigger one, this one is a little to small for my taste. I'm shooting for something that will fill up the majority of the center rear window. Here's how it looks for now!

Currently tailgating at the Kenny Chesney/ Eric Church concert. I Just posted this pic on the random cell phone pic thread but figured I'd update here too. I can now confirm that the Ram Boxes are excellent beer holding devices. The girlfriend and a couple friends sitting in the bed of my truck:

It was man! Unbelievable the show Kenny put on. It was my first time seeing him and second time seeing Eric Church. His shows will never get old.

Nice job man your truck is looking great! I'm debating on putting a leveling kit on mine. I wasn't going to after reading on here about people having vibration and alignment problems but I just love the way these trucks look like with the front equal height with the rear. Have you noticed any vibration or other problems after you installed the leveling kit?

Thanks man I really appreciate it. And nope I haven't had any problems or change in ride quality at all with the leveling kit. I had it aligned the day I got it installed and haven't looked back. I would say go for it because I agree that the Rams look great when they're leveled.

Finally had a chance to install the Uconnect update on my system. Install took about 30 minutes total from downloading the update on my computer to the whole thing being installed in the truck.

The sound quality is a lot better in the truck now, and it's louder also. Really happy with how easy and effective the update is.

Alright guys its done! Got the 2.5" Rough Country leveling kit installed. Only lifted the front and left the rear of my truck stock to try to get it more level. The first pic is before and second two pics are after install. View attachment 12149View attachment 12150View attachment 12151

I'm a little disappointed it doesn't look better. But I could tell that I'm sitting up higher when I was trying to get a look at an extremely attractive female sitting in a sports car next to me at a light and I couldn't even see below her damn roof!
I see what you mean. Of course when you get around to adding beefier rubber, you'll be all set.

Me, I like the factory front end rake--like a fighter pilot diving on a target. :party33:

Thanks man, I agree that new tires will definitely do the trick. I'm gonna wait the stock ones out for a long time since I'm not financially in a position to do many more mods for a while. But like you said, I'm actually liking it alot now. It still looks better than all the stock trucks that look like they're driving straight into the ground.
