Finally did something I've wanted to do for a long while....Get the damn radar detector off the windshield.

Ordered the BlendMount for the truck along with the MirrorTap. Install took all of 5 minutes and I stopped to talk to a neighbor.

Took it for a test run by a LEO buddy and it picked him up over a mile away, as usual. The 9500ix is the best.

My boss and two co-workers ordered theirs today. Of course I'll have to install for the boss.

VA is a ***** for detectors. Forgot to take mine down once when going through the scales and DoT pulled me to the side and made me run over it. I hate losing $400 bucks like that.

I'm sure you could either have...
a) refused to accept that as curbside justice and accepted the $1xx penalty
b) contested the over zelous method of justice in court and had them cough up the $ to reimburse you for damage to your property under the duress of an officer.
