Today I made a mistake, and I closed a larger door first on the MultiFunction Tailgate
Now I can not close the smaller door or can not open a larger door - how do I correct that error?

wow, never even touched one of them doors. You supposed to close the small door first? I guess it has a track that the larger door falls into, like a jamb? Can you post some pics specifically looking at the track on the small door and close ups of the larger door jamb and where it is hanging up? Is the larger door jammed and too far in? Gonna need some good pics

There is a bottom latch lock I just see…..
Maybe ‘lock’ the truck and then
‘unlock’ maybe?
Also try using the metal key from fob.
I will keep playing with my gate for you as well.
This is difficult. What I DONT want to do is slam mine shut and be in the same predicament lol

So it would appear your bottom latch has engaged on large door.
If you can’t open with the lower handle, key fob or metal key, you should be able to remove the tailgate plastic panel and get into the latch from the bed. Once in there it should be possible to open the latch manually I think. Common on doors so same problem. Looking from inside bed it seems you can get that plastic panel off even with door closed. You will probably break a few of the plastic fittings but they are cheap enough

Good luck!

I would have a second person working with you
You may find a combination that allows the tailgate drop ??

Yeah, you have to close the small door first. I closed the larger door first one time when I first got it, but it didn't latch. Since the latches are electric, there's no linkage inside the cover to manipulate to release the latch. Maybe there is something you can do once you get the cover off, but since I've never removed the cover on mine I can't give any advice on what to do from there. I'm not sure what I would do in this instance, but it would probably involve duct tape and a trip to the dealership if it's still under warranty.
