Hello All,
Has anyone had any experience with AFE cold air kits for their rams? Also, those of you with cold air kits, do they make a difference and are they worth it?
I tow a 30' travel trailer with mine, so any true benefits to performance and I'll pick one up.
Thanks

The AFE kit isn't bad, but there are some better options out there. If you like the traditional style intakes, then I would go with an S&B. They are affordable at only $299, and look and perform great. They are also not as loud as many of the other intakes which you will appreciate while towing that trailer.

Do you have any other performance upgrades yet?

Thanks, The only other upgrade I was looking at was a cat back system.

In all honesty, an intake and exhaust may show a combined gain of 10-20hp at the wheels. If you plan to do these upgrades, I would also consider pairing it up with a tuner to help you get the most from the increased airflow. The combination is going to show a noticeable increase in power.
